Globally renowned automaker, Aston Martin, has raised around £110 million of net proceeds by issuing new equity shares at 100p per share. This represents a discount of 7.3% to the closing price on the prior day. The group also intends to raise a further £100 million by issuing new debt. This debt will carry interest rates of above 10% on average, and will mature in 2029. According to the company, the combined £210 million of funds will be used to support the group’s “long-term growth plans” by providing “increased financial resilience.” Several of the leading automotive companies in Europe and the US are experiencing declining profits, driven by tough economic conditions, the shift toward electrification, and growing competition from Chinese manufacturers.

American Eagle Gold is focused on exploring its NAK copper-gold porphyry project in west-central British Columbia, Canada. The company recently secured a CAD $29 million strategic investment from Australian based mining company, South32. Under the terms of the agreement, American Eagle will use the proceeds from the strategic investment to fund drill program expansions in 2025 and 2026. South32 produces commodities including bauxite, alumina, aluminium, copper, silver, lead, zinc, nickel and manganese from its operations in Australia, Southern Africa and South America. South32 also has a portfolio of high-quality development projects and options, and exploration prospects, consistent with its strategy to reshape its portfolio toward commodities that are critical for a low-carbon future.

Vertical Aerospace, a leading innovator in zero-emission aviation, has announced $50 million in new funding as part of a larger $180 million transaction. This funding will support the company's mission to revolutionize urban air mobility with its advanced electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The capital will be used to accelerate the development, certification, and eventual production of Vertical Aerospace's cutting-edge aircraft, aiming to make sustainable aviation a reality.
