Liberty Media Corporation has raised $949,181,300 from the sale of its Forumla 1 shares to support the acquisition of MotoGP. Liberty Media's acquisition could reshape motorsport by uniting Formula 1 and MotoGP under one brand, though challenges could lie ahead in merging their distinct cultures. The move signals a pivotal year in 2024 for both sports. The Company operates and owns interests in a broad range of media, communications, sports and entertainment businesses. Those businesses are attributed to three tracking stock groups: the Liberty SiriusXM Group, the Formula One Group and the Liberty Live Group.
Zen Technologies is a defence simulation training equipment and counter drone solutions provider, the Company just raised $119,230,031 through its first qualified institutional placement. The funds will be used to accelerate growth initiatives, including pursuing acquisitions and meeting working capital needs. This capital infusion supports the company's strategy to enter new markets, such as Naval and Air Force sectors, advance R&D in counter-drone technologies, and expand its presence in the global defense industry.
A group of investors, including Canadian mine financier Eric Sprott, is purchasing CAD$28,000,000 worth of Dolly Varden Silver Corp. stock to support the advancement of its proposed silver mine in B.C.’s Golden Triangle. The financing, initially set at CAD$25,000,000, was increased by CAD$3,000,000. Underwriters Haywood Securities Inc. and Raymond James Ltd. will buy $10 million in common shares at $1 per share and $18 million in flow-through shares at $1.25 per share. “The gross proceeds from the sale of (flow-through) shares will be used for further exploration, mineral resource expansion and drilling in the combined Kitsault Valley project," stated the Company.
