Joby Aviation’s eVTOL

Joby Aviation recently secured a $500 million investment from Toyota to support the certification and commercial production of its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) air taxis. This additional funding, made in two tranches, brings Toyota's total investment in Joby to nearly $900 million. Toyota has been a key partner in Joby's journey since 2019, contributing not only financial backing but also expertise in manufacturing processes and systems. Toyota's involvement in the eVTOL space aligns with its broader strategy of expanding beyond traditional automotive manufacturing into new forms of sustainable urban mobility

Allied Gold’s Operating African Mines

Last week, Allied Gold raised CAD $192.2 million through an overnight marketed equity offering. The funds are earmarked to support their growth and optimization initiatives, primarily focusing on the expansion of the Sadiola gold mine in Mali and the construction of the Kurmuk project in Ethiopia. This offering involved the sale of 62 million shares at a price of CAD $3.10 per share, and it is expected to close around October 8, 2024

Kraken Robotics KATFISH-180

Kraken Robotics raised CAD $45 million through an upsized public offering. The funds are intended to support several strategic initiatives, including expanding their manufacturing capacity, investing in new facilities, and exploring potential acquisitions of complementary technologies. Additionally, the raised capital will help strengthen their balance sheet, enabling the company to take advantage of new contracts and large customer orders, positioning them as a reliable long-term supplier in the marine technology sector.
