Weekly Money Moves: Last week saw capital flow into a broader range of industries with more activity from the Automotive sector and Real Estate sectors, in addition to Biotech.

Which sector do you think will attract the most capital this week?

Last week witnessed a remarkable surge in fundraising activity, showcasing a staggering 150% increase from the preceding week, catapulting the total capital raised to over $5 billion. Biotech maintained its dominance, securing the top spot once again by contributing $1.6 billion to the overall $5.1 billion raised. Real Estate followed closely, bolstered by significant contributions from Rexford Industrial Real Estate, which amassed $840 million, and Terrano, which added $341 million to the sector's impressive total of $1.2 billion. Surprisingly, the automotive industry secured the third position, with Lucid spearheading the charge with an impressive $1 billion raised.

Meanwhile, Technology emerged as a formidable force, capturing the fourth-highest capital influx of $657 million out of the $5.1 billion, with Global Data Solutions leading the charge by securing a monumental $587 million in funding. Additionally, Matador Resources made a notable contribution, sealing a $347 million deal that propelled the metals & mining sector forward, underscoring the diversified nature of the week's fundraising landscape.
